Fixed between checkout and check-in.
Furniture repair for NYC short-term rentals: the piece a guest damaged, put right inside the turnover, and photographed for your claim.
Four hours, not four weeks
A tenant gives notice. A guest checks out at eleven and the next one arrives at three. Airbnb furniture repair is really a scheduling problem, and the work is built around that gap.
11:00CheckoutThe cleaner is in, and whatever happened last night is now visible.
11:20FoundYou get a photo from the cleaner, not a report from the guest.
13:00RepairedWe work in the unit, around the turnover, with the door closed.
15:00Check-inThe next guest sees a room, not a repair.Ten things, and none of them are in the house rules
Nobody sets out to wreck a rental. Damage in a short-term let is ordinary use at five times the rate, by people who will not be back to see it.
Luggage scuffsBags go down on the arm nearest the door.
Cracked cushionsA year of strangers ages a seat like five of your own.
Torn seatsDining chairs take keys, zips and dragged legs.
Split stoolsThe island stool is the most-used seat in the flat.
Scuffed headboardsMarks appear where every guest leans back.
Rings and scratchesGlasses, laptops and hot plates, all without coasters.
Worn entry benchesShoes on, shoes off, suitcase on top.
Burns and meltsA hot pan or a curling iron leaves a mark that cleaning will not touch.
Desk chairsRemote workers sit in them eight hours a day.
Ottoman cornersEverything gets pushed against them.Nine pieces that furnish almost every unit
Airbnb furniture repair covers the lot: short-term rentals are furnished from the same short list, which is why the second unit always goes faster than the first.
The next guest photographs everything
A repair that holds up in the hand but shows in a photo is a failed repair here. Yours will be seen from the doorway, in daylight, by somebody deciding whether to complain.
From listing distanceThe only test that matters: does the repair show in a wide shot taken from the doorway?
At arm’s lengthClose enough to sit down, and the arm reads as one piece again.
At camera distanceGrain and sheen matched, not just colour.
RestyledCushions back, throw straight, ready to shoot.
Final walkLast look before the lockbox code goes out.Three photographs, taken before we touch it
If you are claiming against a guest, the repair itself is the proof of cost. Hosts file through their platform; we just make sure the photographs are the kind that get accepted.
The close-upWhat the damage is, sharp and lit, with something for scale.
The wide shotWhere it is in the room, so the piece is identifiable.
The repairWhat it cost to put right, photographed the same way.Four materials, all matched to what you own
Most Airbnb furniture repair saves the set — replacing one chair from a set means re-buying all of them. Matching the material keeps the room the way your listing photos show it.
Same piece, same turnover
Each pair is one piece, photographed the same way before and after. See more before and after work.

Airbnb furniture repair questions
We are an independent furniture repair shop in New York. We are not affiliated with Airbnb or any booking platform.
Can you repair between a checkout and a check-in?
That is the normal job. Most single-piece work fits inside a turnover: we come after the cleaner, work in the unit, and are out before the next guest’s check-in time. Bigger jobs go overnight instead. See on-site repairs.
How much does Airbnb furniture repair cost?
Airbnb furniture repair is priced per piece, not per visit, and most single fixes cost far less than replacing the piece or losing nights to a blocked calendar. Send a photo and you get a number back.
Will the repair show in my listing photos?
That is the standard we work to. Colour, grain and sheen are matched so the piece reads as one surface from the doorway, which is where every listing photo is taken.
Can you document the damage for a guest claim?
Yes. We photograph the damage close-up and wide before touching it, and the finished repair the same way, so you have a clean before-and-after set to file.
Do you work with hosts who run several units?
Often. Several units in a morning is normal, and the pieces repeat across a portfolio, so the second and third unit go faster than the first.
What if the piece cannot be repaired in the unit?
Then it leaves and comes back — usually overnight, so the calendar stays open. We say which route a piece needs before we start. See overnight service.

Send the photo your cleaner sent you.
One photo is enough to price the repair and tell you whether it fits before the next check-in.
