Reupholstery Long Island: a cognac leather sectional recovered for a bright family room

Reupholstery Long Island Pick The Cover For The Room

A recover is the one time the cover can change. Choose it for the sunroom, the basement or the den it goes back into, not for the sofa it came off.

The Room Picks The Material

A house out here holds a glass room, a room below grade and a room nobody sits in. They wear covers differently.

Rolls of upholstery leather in brown tones
DenLeather

Ages well where the light is steady and the air stays dry. Aniline for softness, pigmented for kids.

Rolls of upholstery vinyl in dark colors
BasementVinyl

Shrugs off damp and wipes clean after a spill. Right for a basement bar, a pool house or a boat. Vinyl.

Rolls of woven upholstery fabric
SunroomPerformance fabric

Dyed through the fiber, so south glass fades it slowly and evenly. Fabric.

Feel It Before You Choose

Samples come to the house, because a swatch reads differently by your windows than under shop lights. Two or three samples are usually enough.

Six Pieces, Recovered

Each kept its frame and its shape. Only the cover, and often the foam, is new, so the piece still fits the room it came from. More on reupholstery.

Collected And Returned

Every reupholstery Long Island job starts with the same free visit. A recover is bench work. We collect, and bring it back finished to Nassau or Suffolk. The whole Island is covered, from the North Shore to the East End. Smaller jobs stay in the room.
