The Short Version

What this policy actually says

This summary is here for convenience. It is not a substitute for the full policy below, which is the part that governs.

We collect what a repair quote needs

Your name, phone, email, the address the furniture is at, and photographs of the piece. We ask for an address because we come to you.

We do not sell it

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We share it only with the services that run this site and our email, and where the law requires it.

You can opt out of tracking

This site uses Google Analytics and Google Ads cookies from the moment you arrive. Turn on Do Not Track in your browser and the site holds them back.

You can ask us to delete it

Email us and we will show you what we hold, correct it, or delete it. You do not need a reason, and it costs nothing.

Who we are

Leather Restore PRO ("we", "our", "us") is a mobile leather repair and restoration business based in New York, working across New York and New Jersey. We repair furniture, seating and leather goods, usually in the room the piece already lives in.

This policy covers this website and the estimate, scheduling and follow-up process around it. We handle personal information in line with applicable United States federal law and New York State law, including the New York SHIELD Act.

What we collect

Information you give us

When you request an estimate, send photographs, call, text or email us, we may collect:

  • Your name
  • Your phone number and email address
  • The address where the furniture is, which we need because the work is mobile
  • Photographs of the furniture, leather or material you want assessed
  • Anything else you choose to tell us in a form, a message or a call

Photographs are the core of how we quote. Please avoid including people, documents or anything else you would not want us to hold in the frame — we only need the piece and the damage.

Information collected automatically

When you visit, this website records ordinary technical information about your visit: IP address, browser and device type, which pages you looked at, and how you moved between them. Section 4 explains how to turn this off.

Accuracy

You are responsible for the accuracy of what you send us. An incorrect address or phone number mostly means a missed appointment.

How we use it

We use what you give us to:

  • Assess the piece and give you an estimate
  • Schedule and carry out the repair
  • Contact you about the appointment, the work, and anything that follows it
  • Keep a record of what was done, which matters if you make a claim under our workmanship warranty
  • Meet legal, regulatory and insurance obligations

We also use aggregated visit data to work out which pages are useful and which are not, and Google Ads to show our ads to people who have visited this site before.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we do not use your furniture photographs in advertising or on this website without asking you first.

Cookies and how to opt out

Cookies are small files stored on your device. Some are necessary for the site to work at all. Others measure visits (Google Analytics) and help us advertise to people who have already visited (Google Ads). Those analytics and advertising cookies are set when you arrive. This site does not show a cookie banner.

You can switch the optional cookies off. If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, this site holds back the analytics and advertising cookies. You can also use Google’s ad settings to turn off personalised ads, or Google’s opt-out add-on to stop Google Analytics.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. If you block the necessary cookies, parts of the site may stop working properly.

The services we use

Running this website and answering enquiries means a small number of outside companies process data on our behalf. Each has its own privacy policy, linked below. These are the ones that touch your information:

Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager

Measures how the website is used. Google also serves the fonts on this site and a sign-in script used by our staff login, so your browser contacts Google on each visit. You can install Google’s opt-out browser add-on, or read Google's privacy policy.

Google Ads

Records that you visited so our ads can be shown to you later on other websites, and measures whether an ad led to an enquiry. Turn off personalised ads in Google’s ad settings, or read how Google uses advertising cookies.

Brevo

Handles email sent from this site and our contact records. Read Brevo's privacy policy.

WonderPush

Delivers browser push notifications, and only ever after you click "Allow" on your browser's own prompt. Declining it changes nothing else. If you accepted and want out, block notifications for this site in your browser settings. Read WonderPush's privacy policy.

Cloudflare Turnstile

Checks that form submissions come from a person rather than a bot. It sees your IP address and some browser signals when you submit a form. Read Cloudflare's privacy policy.

We use Google Ads, as described above. There is no Meta, TikTok or LinkedIn tracking on this website.

Who else we share it with

Beyond the services in section 5, we disclose personal information only when:

  • The law, a court order or a government request requires it
  • It is necessary to protect the rights, safety or property of our customers, our technicians or the business
  • You have asked us to, for example when a repair is arranged by a designer, a building manager or a family member on your behalf

We do not pass your details to other repair companies, contractors or marketing lists.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and job records for as long as we need them to stand behind the work, to answer a warranty claim, and to meet tax, insurance and legal requirements. After that they are deleted or anonymised.

If you want your information removed sooner, ask us. Section 9 explains how, and we will do it unless we are legally required to keep a particular record.

How we protect it

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or misuse, consistent with the New York SHIELD Act.

No method of transmitting or storing data is completely secure, and we cannot promise absolute security. If a breach affecting your personal information did occur, we would notify you as required by law. New York's Attorney General publishes guidance on data breaches and your rights.

Your rights and choices

You can ask us to:

  • Tell you what personal information we hold about you
  • Correct anything that is wrong
  • Delete it, subject to records we are required to keep
  • Stop sending you non-essential messages

Email info@miami.leatherrestorepro.com or call 347-310-7483. There is no charge, you do not have to give a reason, and we will not treat you differently for asking.

To stop push notifications, block them for this site in your browser. To stop analytics and advertising cookies, turn on Do Not Track or block cookies for this site in your browser.

Children

This website and our services are meant for adults. They are not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Other websites

This site links to other websites, including manufacturers, material suppliers and public information sources. We do not control them and we are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices. Read their policies before giving them anything.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy. When we do, the "last updated" date at the top of the page changes, and the new version takes effect as soon as it is posted. Material changes to how we handle your information will be flagged clearly rather than slipped in.
